Congratulations to all who took part in the 2023 Cross Country Championships. Four teams represented the school at the East Mayo Competitions. In the 5th and 6th Class section, Rhea Gostick came 1st and Lilly O'Brien finished in 11th place which qualified them for the County Finals. In the Boys 3rd and 4th class competition, Charlie Reddington came 6th, James D'Arcy 8th, James Reddington 10th and Noah Shannon 15th. The boys along with team members Shane McGahon and Cillian O'Boyle also qualified for the County Finals held in Ballina. At County Final level, Rhea Gostick finished 6th in the girls 5th and 6th Class race and Charlie Reddington finished 12th in the Boys 3rd and 4th Class race. As a result, they then qualified for the Connacht Championship which was held in Tuam. Again great results were achieved in Tuam at Connacht level with Rhea Gostick coming in 4th overall and Charlie Reddington coming in 15th place. Well done to all, what a wonderful performance.
