BOHOLA NATIONAL SCHOOL

At the start of the school year, the children decided to raise funds to buy a wheelchair to send out to Lourdes with the Achonry/Killala Pilgrimage.

 

To raise the money, the children did a sponsored spelling test before Easter. They collected €3,165 – totally surpassing expectations.

 

This money was used to purchase 3 wheelchairs and 1 keyboard, with the remaining money going towards transportation costs of bringing invalids and helpers on the pilgrimage.

 

On April 11, the children presented a cheque to Fr Joseph Gavigan, Spiritual Advisor for the Achonry Diocese. He highly commended the children on what they had achieved.
