Cross Country Success
Bohola NS enjoyed great success at the Primary School Cross Country Competition which began with the East Mayo Competition being held in Swinford on the 19th of September on Melletts Hill.
Four teams participated in this event and although we had no team success we had two individuals placing in the top 12. James D’Arcy came first in the Third and Fourth Class Competition and James Reddington came 12th in the Fifth and Sixth Class section and as a result both boys progressed to the Mayo Final which was held in Belleek Ballina on the 25th of September.
Again both boys ran unbelievable races and as James D’Arcy came 6th , this qualified him to progress to the Connacht Final which was held in Mohill Community School on the 12th of October. And what a day that was as James was crowned Connacht Champion having secured 1st place in the 3rd and 4th Class Competition. Congratulations to James, his family and Bohola NS on this great achievement.
