Bohola National School took part in the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Kiltimagh which celebrated the theme of 'Heroes and Legends.' It was a whole school effort with both the School Band and a vibrant float taking part. Children from junior infants to second class took part in the float, with the senior classes performing in the band, showcasing the wonderful talent across all the age groups. The school band led by 6th class baton leaders and flag bearers, followed by tin whistles, accordions, melodicas, bell lyres and drums, brought colour, rhythm and energy to the streets. The 1st and 2nd class girls gave a great performance with their well-practised majorette routine and vibrant yellow pom poms.
The float featured a school building under construction, symbolising that the work of shaping the next generation is always ongoing. This was followed by children representing future careers such as astronauts, vets, doctors, teachers, nurses, firemen, accountants and many more. Finally, the children's parents, grandparents and friends took part in their Hi Viz gear, providing a team of very strong and supportive adult chippies, plumbers, electricians and builders. Thank you to everybody for a fantastic effort on the day.
